Department of Computer Science & Engg,, SDMCET, organized "Orientation Program for II Year Students".

Venue: Main Seminar Hall
A total of 100 students were present during the program.
The event was presided by:
- Dr. S. B. Vanakudre, Principal
- Dr. K. Gopinath, Dean Student Welfare
- Dr. S. M. Joshi, HOD, CSE
Addressing the program, Principal welcomed the II Year students and stressed the importance of Orientation Program. He also briefed the various activities being conducted at college leve for students.
Dr. K. Gopinath requested the students not to use mobile phones in the college premises.
Prof. Archana Nandibewoor was Master Of Ceremony (MOC).
Orientation program marked the official inauguration of Staff Student Association (SSA).
Following is the brief proceedings of the program:
- Dr. U. P. Kulkarni educated the students about their responsibilities, behavior, conduct, do's and don'ts in the college with illustrative examples.
- I got the opportunity to read the SSA Activities planned for the current semester.
- Prof. Ranganath Yadawad presented the functioning of DUGC.
- Prof. Ramachandra Yadawad presented the CSE Syllabus (from 3rd sem till 8th sem)
- Prof. Shivanagowda motivated the students to study well to get placed in the companies. He also gave some tips to students to excel in their career.
- Prof. Jayadevi Karur presented vote of thanks.
- The program was a success and it came to an end with high-tea arranged in Canteen
